Biography

Michael Auletta was born and raised in New York. His
Brady-style family upbringing was never short of mental
stimulation and comedic fodder. But after starting a new
life in the DC area, he was reborn as a stand-up comic,
quickly learning the craft and receiving recognition from
other comics and promoters alike. From his first open mic
for Curt Shackelford’s “Stand Up Comedy To Go,” to the
prestigious Comedy Club Yuk Yuks in Toronto, Canada,
Michael has been serious about comedy. Tirelessly learning
every facet of the trade, he consistently channels new
topics into his unpredictable caricature performance,
bringing a rare form of energy and spontaneity to the
stage.

Statements

They say that a good commercial can get its message across even if there is no sound. That is powerful! Using every part of your body to explain and live and experience for your audience so that they can be immersed in not just an auditory message or joke, be seduced by the visual imagery as well. That is what I am looking to achieve. Learning from greats such as Dick Van Dyke, Charlie Chaplin, and Don Knotts. I can, not only keep my comedy in its purist, most raw form, but create a unique style that isn't really seen today.

Techniques
