Capitola Girl was born a beach girl and raised by the coast in San Diego, CA. She works as a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant from her home in Capitola, CA. A friend introduced Capitola Girl to beading in 2004, and the fascination and fun she had beading her first pair of wire wrap earrings has turned into an all-out obsession. She loves stringing beaded necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and anklets. Capitola Girl gets inspiration for her beaded jewelry creations from a variety of sources - everything from the outfit she has on, to her mood, and the cool things other people wear. And, she doesn't mass produce or put pieces into limited product. Every piece of Capitola Girl jewelry is always unique.
The Capitola Girl name captures the childlike innocence that lies in the heart of every woman. A Capitola Girl is traditionally feminine, upbeat, confident, and dynamic. Her interests are varied and always evolving.
The silohuette selected for her logo represents a woman's ability to live in harmony with herself and others. She uses her strength wisely, and always makes choices that are true to her heart. Above all, she embraces the power of all things girly.
