This is a commercial I wrote as an intern for Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
The hospital had just completed a multi-million dollar new patient care wing and wanted to use the occasion to not only promote their new addition, but to also upgrade their image. The hospital had been widely considered to be run down and old compared to cross-town rival St. Louis Children's Hospital. This image was completely the opposite of reality, and that was exactly what we tried to portray in this campaign.
The campaign included two 0:30 and one 0:15 TV spots, in addition to outdoor boards, radio spots and print ads.
The TV-side of the project started with many concepts, and through client intervention and focus groups, the ideas were narrowed down and my concept was picked up for filming (yes, the commercial was captured on film, not tape).
