But You Don't Look Sick

Not everything I create is whimsical. This is a portrait I did of my oldest daughter, Ramie, who was diagnosed with 2 auto-immune diseases (MS and Sarcoidosis) between 2001-2003. Auto-immune diseases travel in packs apparently....very few people get just one. "But you don't look sick" is something she hears all the time.... this portrait is my way of putting a gentle reminder out there to be mindful of other people's struggles.... not everything that disables a person is visable or obvious. Thanks to brain lesions reading a book is no longer a simple task, the pain and fatigue that come with MS make walking a mere block an accomplishment.... doing so without falling down is a miracle. Please support your local MS Foundation and stem cell research.
